Nora Martha Tonos Fayad

Funeral Mass for Nora Martha Tonos Fayad, 91, of Greenville will be 11:00am Saturday, August 20, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She died Monday, August 15, 2011 at Cleveland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home. Nora attended Greenville Public Schools and graduated high school from St. Rose of Lima Academy.  She worked as a receptionist for Drs. Acree and Williams and for Greenville Credit Union.  She later worked for Drs. Lee, Lenoir, and Cirilli, where, after 16 years of employment, she retired in May 1990. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had been a member of the Alter Society, the Legion of Mary, and St. Martha's Sewing Circle. Nora was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and was active in local politics by volunteering in campaign activities. In addition she was a member of the Cedars of Lebanon Club which was co-founded by her father and other Lebanese immigrants who settled in the Delta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Elmaz Tonos, by a brother and sister-in-law, Ford and Berenice Tonos, a brother, John Tonos and sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Fred Abide. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn McKoin (Kelsey) of Bonita, LA; 2 brothers, George Tonos (Joyce) and Joe Tonos (Mary Belle) and sister-in-law, Billie Tonos; 3 granddaughters, Christina McKoin, Meredith McKoin, both of Bonita, LA and Laura Barham (Brian) of Anguilla. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105; Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters Donations, 6520 North Andrews Avenue, Ft. Thomas Edward Tupman, Sr.

Funeral services for Thomas Edward Tupman, Sr., 75, of Kingwood, TX were 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2011 at Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola. He died Friday, August 5, 2011 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease. Burial followed in the Indianola City Cemetery under the direction of Boone-Card Funeral Home. Mr. Tupman was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Edward Tupman, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Waldrop Tupman of Kingwood, TX; a daughter, Deana Kaye Tupman of Kingwood, TX; 2 sons, James Michael Tupman (Becky) of Seminole, TX and John Christopher Tupman (Kimberly) of Midland, TX; his mother, Beatrice T. Tankesly of Kingwood, TX; and 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family received friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2011 at Boone-Card Funeral Home.

Martha Nell Reynolds

Funeral Services for Martha Nell Reynolds, 80, of Greenville will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday August 10, 2011 at Boone-Wells Funeral Home. She died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray W. "Billy" Reynolds, Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Gail Harrison of Lake Charles, LA; 2 sons, Allen Reynolds of Greenville and Jeff Reynolds of Brandon; a sister, Vivian Carroll of Kentucky; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Wednesday at Boone-Wells Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Lindsey Cook

Funeral Services for Elizabeth Lindsey Cook, age 61, of Leland will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10 at First Baptist Church, Leland. She died Sunday, August 7th, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN. Burial will follow in the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. Elizabeth was born in Charleston, MS in 1949, and soon moved to Leland where she was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Leland High School in 1967, where she played clarinet in the high school band. Elizabeth worked as a secretary at Mississippi State University's Delta Research and Extension Center in Stoneville for 35 years and as an administrative assistant a the Delta Health Alliance in Stoneville since 2006. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leland where she was a proud supporter of Operation Christmas Child. She was preceded in death by her father Morris Lindsey and her mother, Denise Lindsey. Survivors include 2 daughters, Holly Elizabeth Cook Sloan (Bo) of McGrath, AK and Bonnie Cook Wells (Robert) of Gainesville, FL; a son, Charles Oliver Cook, Jr. (Cynthia) of New Orleans, LA; a sister, Elaine Lindsey Cox (Jerry) of Senatobia, MS; a brother, Morris Earl Lindsey (Jo) of Saltillo, MS; and 3 grandchildren, Charles Oliver Cook III, Jane Baldwin Cook, and Aiden York Wells. A visitation will be held one hour before the services at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 10. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church, Operation Christmas Child, at P. O. Box 286, 103 South Broad Street, Leland, MS 38756.

James "Jim" Martin Fox

Graveside services for James "Jim" Martin Fox, 64, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. He died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home. He was born in Lebanon, PA and was a longtime resident of Greenville. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams Fox of Greenville; a daughter, Julie Fox Moscal (Tony) of Meridian; son, David Fox of Jacksonville, FL; step-daughter, Regina Thornton (Michael) of Beaumont, TX; 2 step-sons, Michael Roy Herbert (Miranda) of Cankton, LA and Donny Roy Herbert (Alozia) of Youngsville, LA; a sister, Sharon Fox of Lebanon, PA; 4 brothers, Ricky Fox, Randy Fox, Johnny Fox and Bobby Fox all of Lebanon, PA and 12 grandchildren.
