Funeral services for Robert L. Thomas, age 80, of Indianola will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at Boone Funeral Home, Indianola. He died Saturday, March 17 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Burial will follow in the Lehrton Cemetery, Ruleville. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Indianola. Mr. Thomas was a native of Columbus, MS. He served in the U.S. Army after the Korean Conflict. After his discharge in 1952, he made his home near Indianola where he was engaged in farming. He was a supervisor with Ludlow’s Manufactoring until their closing. He then was employed with Lewis Grocery as a mechanic. Mr. Thomas was an avid fisherman, hunter, and dominoe player. Survivors include his wife, Etoile Roberts Thomas of Indianola; a daughter, Beverly T. Renfroe of Greenwood; 2 sons, Robert M. Thomas of Smithfield, RI and J. Scott Thomas of Hollandale, MS; 4 sisters, Jean Seltzer, Louise Brown, and Christine Aden, all of Sullivan, MO, and Patricia Ann King of Manchester, MO; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at Boone Funeral Home, Indianola.
