Funeral services for Virginia Porter Stockton, 81, of Rolling Fork and formerly of Hollandale will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel in Hollandale. She died Saturday, December 8 at Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital. Burial will follow in the Hollandale Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Mrs. Stockton was a native of Glen Allan. She graduated from high school there and served as a cheerleader. She was a homemaker and seamstress and a member of Hollandale Baptist Church. Mrs. Stockton was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Charlie Smith Porter; a brother, Eugene “Buddy” Porter; a son-in-law, Ronnie Etheridge; and a daughter-in-law, Lori Stockton. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Stockton of Hollandale; 3 daughters, Jeni Butler (Randy) and Karen Tice (Randy Jones), all of Greenville and Susie Dill (Kelon) of Inverness; 3 sons, Billy Stockton (Susan) of Brandon, David “Toe” Stockton (Sherry) of Cleveland, and Randy Stockton (Kim) of Clinton; 2 sisters, Barbara Evans of Brookhaven and Mable Lindsey (James) of Greenville; 19 grandchildren & 22 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel in Hollandale.
