Funeral services for Leonard David Wilson, Sr., age 90, of Greenville were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Thursday, March 15 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Burial followed in the Greenville Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Mr. Wilson was born on April 9, 1921. He served as a PFC in the US Army fighting during WWII in France and Germany. He retired from Greenville Mills as a supervisor after 30 years of service. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson owned the Onward Store for more than 15 years. Mr. Wilson loved country music, especially playing the steel guitar and yodeling. He even played with the likes of Kitty Wells and others. “Pop”, as he was known by all of his family, will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ola Mae Wilson; 2 daughters, Ruth Ann Landry of Plaquemine, LA and Kay Inmon of Greenville; 2 sons, David Wilson, Jr. of Tupelo, MS and Kenny Wilson of Lake Village, AR; and 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
