Funeral services for Helen Dodd Davenport, 91, a long-time resident of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Parkview Baptist Church. She died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Mrs. Davenport was born in McNairy County, TN in 1921 to Homer A. and Arlie B. Taylor Dodd. She grew up in Corinth, MS and married Charles H. Davenport, moving to Greenville in 1948 where she was employed with Morgan & Lindsey, retiring in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and three brothers. She is survived by her son, Charles R. Davenport; daughter, Charlotte R. Oliver; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. The Rev. Justin Hiens will officiate.
