George Milton Brown

Funeral services for G. Milton Brown, 65, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2013 at Glen Allan United Methodist Church.  He died Monday, December 31, 2012 at University Medical Center, Jackson.  Burial will be in County Line Cemetery, Glen Allan under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Mr. Brown was born on July 29, 1947 in West Point, MS to Sam Jones Brown and Cathryn Teasley Brown.  He was a graduate of Glen Allan High School and became an A&P/IA mechanic for the Federal Aviation Administration.  He held these certifications and license for over 45 years and was well respected by his colleagues. He was a charter member of the Delta Drag Racers Association and was a past president.  He was an avid drag racer throughout his adult life and won the Greenville Dragway Championship in 2000.  He was a member of Glen Allan United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Judy Beaube Brown; daughter, Lori Skelton (Rob) of Collierville, TN; son, Richard B. Bowers of Port Gibson, MS; mother, Cathryn Brown of Glen Allan, MS; sister, Carol Ann Anthony (Stanley) of Madison, MS; four grandchildren, Robby, Chloe and Logan Skelton and Elizabeth Bowers; and father-in-law, James F. Beaube of Port Gibson, MS. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville and from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 4, 2013 before the services at the church.  Memorials may be made to Glen Allan United Methodist Church Mission Fund, P.
