Inverness, MS Funeral services for Nettye Turner Wright, age 93, of Inverness will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28 at Inverness United Methodist Church. She died Sunday February 26 at her home. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Inverness. Services are under the direction of Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola. Mrs. Wright was born in Philadelphia, MS. After graduation from high school, she attended Draughn Business School. She married Robert Wright, Jr., and they made their home in Philadelphia. In 1944 they moved to Inverness where they were engaged in farming. Mrs. Wright was a devoted member of the Inverness United Methodist Church and was very active in the United Methodist Women’s Group and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Wright Lavner, of Oxford, MS; a son, Robert Young Wright III (Beth) of Inverness, MS; a sister, Dorothy Duncan of Philadelphia, MS; 3 grandchildren, Thomas Wright Parker, Robert Young Wright IV, and Barrett Elizabeth Wright; and 2 great-grandchildren, Virginia Price Parker and John Stanley Parker. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28 at Inverness United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the church at 805 Fifth Street, Inverness, MS 38753.
