Memorial services for Preston “Pat” Douglas Brooks, 82, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Hollandale Baptist Church. He died Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. Mr. Brooks was born September 16, 1930 to Preston H. and Mary Ballintine Brooks of Valdosta, GA. He attended Georgia Tech and was an avid sportsman. He was a member of Hollandale Baptist Church and of the Emmaus Walk community. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bebe Alexander Brooks of Hollandale; a daughter, Ruthie Brooks Rose of Flowood, MS; 2 sons, Pat Kelly Brooks (Grace) of Oxford and Clay Brooks (Anita) of Hollandale; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Hollandale Baptist Church.
