Funeral services for Sarah Jean Chouccoli Dennis, 80, a native of Leland, MS and a resident of Houma, LA will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at her home in Houma, LA. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Columbus Dennis, a son, Charles Crandall Dennis, her parents, Pete Chouccoli, Sr. and Louvenia McNease Chouccoli; three sisters, Christine Chouccoli, Mellie Mae Chouccoli Saulter and Agnes Lorraine Chouccoli Long and by two brothers, John Prentiss Chouccoli, Sr. and Kenith Wayne Chouccoli. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Jean Dennis Marie and husband Leslie; Charlotte Ann Dennis Pitre and husband, Ray, Jr. and Gloria Gail Dennis and companion Danny Davidson all of Houma, LA; eight grandchildren, Hayes Marie, Sam Marie Spry, Missy Borne, Terry Gregoire, Jr., Dee Pitre, Danny Pitre, Dena Pitre White and Dustin Pitre all of Houma, LA; two brothers, Larry Chouccoli of Cleveland, MS and Pete Chouccoli, Jr. of Greenville; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was a beautiful mother and grandmother and will be truly missed. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2011 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. The Rev. Larry Chouccoli and John Chouccoli, Jr. will officiate.
