Funeral services for Tarlei Turner Hitchcock, 57, of Greenville will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Greenville. She died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her home in Greenville. Burial will be in Indianola City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Tarlei was a native of Ruleville, MS and graduated from Indianola Academy. She attended Mississippi Delta Community College and received her degree at Delta State University. She worked in sales at 100.7 WDMS for five years before becoming an interior designer, florist, and wedding designer. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a member of the Alice Bell Garden Club. She loved her family and friends especially her six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald E. Turner. She is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Hitchcock, Jr. of Greenville; 2 daughters, Mary Turner Chenhall (Brent) of Madison and Cate Kelly (Mark) of Greenville; a son, Thomas Hitchcock, III (Melissa) of Leland; her mother, Mary Bush Turner of Sunflower; 2 sisters, Tammy T. Naron (Duane) of Springs, TX and Donna T. Britt (John) of Indianola; 2 brothers, Gerald E. Turner, Jr. (Wanda) of Richmond, VA and Rev. Robert B. Turner (Becky) of Merigold; and 6 grandchildren, Thomas Peyton Hitchcock, Nathan Hitchcock, Cason Kelly, Ava Kate Chenhall, Cassidy Kelly and Kayden Kelly. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Arms of Mercy.
