Funeral services for Jack Melvin Newton, 75, of Coffeeville will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Coffeeville. He died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Baptist Memorial East, Memphis, TN. Burial will be in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Mr. Newton was a native of Darlove and graduated from Greenville High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and after his discharge he returned to Greenville where he was employed at Ingram Alignment and Joe’s Firestone. In 1978 he owned and operated Newton’s Automotive until retiring in 2002 then moving to Coffeeville. Mr. Newton was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Coffeeville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Mae Newton in 2011. He is survived by a daughter, Vanessa N. Morlino and husband Scott of Hurst, TX; 2 sisters, Diane Bennett of Flora, MS and Nell Lupo of Houston, TX; 2 brothers, Buddy Newton of Clinton, AR and Bennie Newton of Flora, MS; and 2 grandsons, Dustin Morlino and Stephen Morlino of Dallas, TX. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Coffeeville.
