William Buford Seale

Funeral services for William “Billy” Buford Seale, 79, of Metairie, LA will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel, Hollandale. He died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his home in Metairie, LA with his loving family at his beside, after a courageous battle against Lewy Body Disease.  Burial will be in Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Mr. Seale was born in Delta City, MS and graduated from Delta City High School.  After serving honorably for two years in the Army during the Koren conflict, he attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He later attended Louisiana State University and obtained a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.  Mr. Seale worked for the United States Corp of Engineers for over thirty-five years, retiring as Assistant Chief of Engineering in 1993.  He was a resident of Metairie, LA for 53 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford E. Seale and Lelia Westbrook Seale and his sister, Faye Seale Kent.  He was the beloved husband of Lillian Arnold Seale and they enjoyed the love and blessings of marriage for fifty-six years.  He is also survived by his daughters, Carolyn Seale Christovich (husband, Michael M. Christovich) of Picayune, MS and son, William B. Seale, Jr. (wife, Francesca Albergamo Seale) of New Orleans, LA as well as many devoted nieces and nephews.  Beyond being a devoted husband and father, he enjoyed a passion for travel and repairing automobiles having developed the knowledge and skill from his father. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel, Hollandale.
