Billy Joe Trotter

Graveside services for Billy Joe Trotter, Sr., 80, of Horn Lake and formerly of Greenville will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 30 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. He died Sunday, September 27 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto in Southaven. 

Mr. Trotter was born in Sunflower County, MS on October 5, 1934. After graduating from Riverside High School he attended Mississippi Delta Community College then started a career in farming. Mr. Trotter then got into crop insurance and became an adjuster. He moved to Jackson and then later Horn Lake, for jobs as crop insurance adjuster, retiring in Horn Lake. 

He loved playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Mr. Trotter was preceded in death by his parents, C.C. and Nadine Trotter, a brother, Franklin Trotter and an infant son, John Scott Trotter. He is survived by a son, Billy Joe Trotter, Jr. of Avon; a brother, Edward Trotter of Kemp, TX; and three grandchildren, Clarke Trotter (Jordan) of Leland, Allison Montague (David) and Cecilia Trotter both of Greenville. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Greenville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
