Funeral services for Grace Fulton Poole, 85, of Greenville will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15 at Trinity United Methodist Church. She died Tuesday, August 13th, at Wellington Place. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Poole was born in Doddsville, MS on November 24, 1927, the daughter of the late Lena Grace (Shepherd) and Everett Houston Fulton. She graduated from Linn High School and worked as a secretary at Sears until her retirement. Mrs. Poole received the Angels Among Us Award for community service. Her passion for sewing and making clothing and quilts for family and friends was well known. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Theld F. Blount and Fleda F. Scrivner and a brother, Billy Houston Fulton.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Clinton Poole of Greenville; a son, Wayne E. Poole of Plantation, FL; 4 nieces, Sara Downs and Lena Waldrup both of Indianola, and Jeanette Diamond and Connie Burford both of Greenville; many other nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Carolyn Brown, of Greenville.
A visitation will be held one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
