Funeral services for Helen Virginia Smith Henson, 87, of Greenville, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Covenant Presbyterian Church. There will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the service time. She died on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at her home. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Henson was born on August 10, 1938, in Isola, MS, to Walton and Annie Nadine Roberts Smith, the oldest of 6 children. She graduated from Belzoni High School and attended Mississippi Delta Community College.
On June 21, 1959, she married Bobby Roy Henson, and they made their home in Greenville, where she was employed by the Washington County Tax Collector’s Office. She was an agent for Trailways Bus Line and also owned and operated Henson Printing and Rubber Stamp Company for many years.
Mrs. Henson was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for several years; was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was a very dedicated and devoted Christian, loving God and her family with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Buddy Smith and Marty Smith. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bobby Henson; three sons, Randy Henson (Missy), Rob Henson (Kim), and Scott Henson (Kelly); two sisters, Beatrice Price and Diane Herren; a brother, Gene Smith; seven grandchildren, Collin, Duncan, Mary Randal Stevens, Jon, Audrey, Skyler, and Leanna; and one great-grandchild, Kacey.
The family would like to thank the care given by Adoration Hospice and Home Health and her sitter, Kathy Lee Morris.
