Memorial services for Lexie Lee Vance, 77, of Greenville will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Friday, March 23 at Delta Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held one hour before the memorial service at Boone Funeral Home. Mr. Vance farmed with his father in Drew, MS at Sandy Bayou Farm. He was an educator in Greenville Public Schools from 1968 – 1983. He also worked at Southern Fasteners until 2001. Mr. Vance was preceded in death by his parents, Lexie L. and Bessie R. Vance, formerly of Drew. Survivors include his wife, Ruby M. Vance of Greenville; a daughter, Vicki V. Glassco (Ed); a son, Lexie L. Vance II (Caron) of Tallahassee, FL; 2 sisters, Norma V. Cooper (James Donald) of Boyle, MS and Dorothy W. Fiore of Grand Prairie, TX; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Glassco of Greenville, Lexie L. Vance III (Brandy) and Autumn Vance, both of Tallahassee, FL; and 2 great-grandchildren, Olivia Butler of Greenville and Lexie L. Vance IV of Tallahassee, FL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
