Michael Fox Carollo

Memorial services for Michael Fox Carollo, 57, of Clinton, MS will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28 at Clinton Junior High School.  He died Saturday, March 24, of natural causes. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29 at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. Michael was born in Greenville, MS on September 3, 1954 and was raised in Baton Rouge, LA where he graduated from Glen Oaks High School in 1972. He later graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1976. Michael was a teacher of world history to hundreds of seventh graders at Clinton Junior High in Clinton, MS since 1998. God’s gift to him was his love of travel, history, and his ability to instill a love of history in all that knew him. Michael loved his family, friends, colleagues, students, and his school. His home, neighborhood, and school will always remember his deep love for Ole Miss and New Orleans Saints football. Survivors include his father, Otis Thornton Carollo of Raymond, MS, mother Jeanette Fox Warren of Yazoo City, MS, brother Marvin Carmello Carollo (Natalie) of Canton, MS, and two sisters Gayla Love Carollo (Mark Beuhler) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Mitzi Fox Carollo Tompkins (Lance) of Edwards, MS. He also leaves behind four nieces, three nephews, and two great-nieces, and one great-nephew. Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Lucille Carollo of Leland, MS and Marvin and Dell Fox of Merigold, MS. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
