Funeral Services for Doris Dickerson Mooney, 78, of Greenville will be at 2:00 pm Saturday August 20, 2011 at Boone-Wells Funeral Home. She passed away peacefully, August 18, 2011 at her home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home. She was born May 4, 1933 in Greenville to the late Samuel David and Freddie Williams Dickerson and was a 1951 graduate of E.E. Bass High School. In 1952 she married Mack Mooney making their home in Greenville where she worked as a lab and x-ray technician before she and her husband started Mack Mooney Business Machines. She was member of Second Baptist Church. She will always be remembered as a wonderful mother and wife. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Mack Everett Mooney; 2 daughters, Katie Coughlin and her husband Chris of Leonardtown, MD; Kara Naron and her husband Ben of Greenwood; 2 sisters Sammie Ballard of Leland and Patty Smith of Greenville; a brother, David Dickerson of Greenville; 3 grandchildren, Maura Paige Coughlin and Maeve Brenna Coughlin, both of Leonardtown, MD and Rachel Jane Naron of Greenwood; and a host of nieces and nehews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday at Boone-Wells Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice. The family is very grateful for her hospice nurse, Lisa Wiltcher, R.N.
