Funeral services for John Wesley Cauley, 78, of Inverness were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola. He died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany. Burial was be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Inverness. Arrangements were under the direction of Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola. He was born in Shaw moving to Inverness at an early age where he received his education. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he returned to Inverness where he was employed with Wade, Inc., then L.B. Repair Shop before owning and operating his own Ag repair business. He retired in 1997. In May of this year he moved to New Albany. He had attended Beulah Baptist Church in Inverness. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy W. Hawkins and by a brother, Jimmy Cauley. He is survived by his wife Viola Harris Cauley of New Albany; 2 daughters, Ann C. Tharp of New Albany and Jo Worley of Indianola; a sister, Hazel Sanders of Conway, AR; 2 brothers, Ed Cauley of Danville, IL and Johnny Cauley of Inverness, MS; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
