Funeral Mass for Vivian Trahan Richard, 82, of Shaw will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Saint Francis of Assisi church in Shaw. She died July 5, 2012 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. Vivian was born in Kaplan, La on April 20, 1930 to Celeste Leleux Trahan and Odilon Trahan. She married Pervis Richard on March 2, 1951 in Kaplan, LA. They moved to the Mississippi Delta in 1952. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Pervis J. Richard, on March 10, 2011, her parents Celeste and Odilon Trahan, all her brother and sisters (Alfred and Dalton Trahan, Eunice Duet, Louise Trahan, Agnes LaVergne, Odelia Meaux, Lenora Heinen and Will Mary Trahan). She is survived by two sons, Tommy (Patsy) Richard of Greenville and Ronnie Richard of Shaw, one daughter, Rayetta (Frank John) Serio of Greenville, five grandchildren, Rance (Hope) Richard of Skene, Rani Richard of Cleveland, Justin Richard of Greenville, Frank Joseph Serio and Elese Serio of Greenville and two great grandchildren, Ridge and Rylan Richard of Skene. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 7 from 1:00-3:00 at Saint Francis of Assisi church in Shaw. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to Saint Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw, Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville, Our Lady of Lourdes School – IPAD project in Greenville, Bayou Academy in Cleveland or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
