Funeral services for Pearl Allease Harville Sims, 87, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2012 at Boone Chapel, Hollandale. She died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at her home after a long illness. Burial will in Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. Mrs. Sims was born on May 24, 1925, in Carroll County to the late George William and Fannie Bell Nail Harville. She married Everette D. Sims, Sr. on December 19, 1943. Following his discharge from the Army they settled in Hollandale in 1950. She was a faithful member of Hollandale Church of God where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Children’s Church Leader for many years. She was an employee of Rebel Gas, Inc. for 40 years until her retirement in 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years and her daughter-in-law, Jean White Sims. She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Sims Bailey of Hollandale, a son, Everette D. Sims, Jr. (Sherry) of Hollandale: five brothers, A.P. Harville, of Hollandale, J. C. Harville of Chapel Hill, TN, George Harville and Orland Harville, of Milton, FL, and Wilson Harville of Prescott, AZ: four sisters, Faye Tyler of Fulton, Ann Clemens of Sheridan, IL, Barbara Henry of Stuttgart, AR, and Helen Nelms of Ridgeland,: two granddaughters, Stephanie Stuart (Rowdy) of Cary and Amanda Owen (Terri) of Pearl: two great-grandchildren, Tanner Stuart and Connor Ketchum. Little children, pretty flowers, and visits with family and friends always brought a smile to her face, especially in her later years. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2012 at Boone Chapel, Hollandale.
