Graveside services for James Benedict Wiseman, Jr., 59, of Vicksburg and formerly of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville. He died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at his home in Vicksburg. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. He was born in Memphis, TN and graduated from Greenville High School. He was a graduate of Millsaps College and received his doctorate from Mississippi State University. He was employed with the US Army Corp of Engineers in the Vicksburg district. He was preceded in death by his parents James Benedict Wiseman and Mary Lois Bell Wiseman. When he lived in Greenville he was a member of First United Methodist Church. He is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Wiseman Bennett of Ball, LA; nephew, Robert “Chip” Bennett, Jr. of Ball, LA; niece, Kristina Bennett of Ball, LA; and 5 grand nephews and nieces, Alexa Bennett, Drew Bennett, Caitlin Bennett, Dalton Scroggs and Gracie McCrae all of Ball, LA.
