Bobby Joe Tadlock

Funeral services for Bobby Joe Tadlock, 67, of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.  He died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at his home.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He was a native of Isola, MS and was a U.S. Army  veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.  After his discharge he made his home in Greenville where he was a fireman with the Greenville Fire Department, retiring as Captain after 20 years.  He was a truck driver with Kenan Transportation for 45 years without an accident.  He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Exie Tadlock; 2 sisters, Estelle Tharp and Mavis White and by 3 brothers, Bobee Tadlock, James Tadlock and Jerry Tadlock.  He is survived by his wife Rubye B. Tadlock; 3 daughters, Debbie Wilson (Bobby), Brenda Hughes and Lisa Tadlock; son, Joe Tadlock (Amy); 6 sisters, Della Mae Blount, Verley Alexander, Sissy George (Julius), Dolly Smith (Aaron), Stella Lomax (Ray) and Diane Lloyd (Donnie); 2 brothers, Junior Tadlock (Joan) and Sonny Tadlock (Pat); 6 grandchildren, Blake Wilson, Eric Tadlock, Nicholus Tadlock, Austin Manning, Alyvia Tadlock and Adam Tadlock; and a great granddaughter, Maegan Tadlock. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
