Funeral Mass for Nora Martha Tonos Fayad, 91, of Greenville will be 11:00am Saturday, August 20, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She died Monday, August 15, 2011 at Cleveland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home. Nora attended Greenville Public Schools and graduated high school from St. Rose of Lima Academy. She worked as a receptionist for Drs. Acree and Williams and for Greenville Credit Union. She later worked for Drs. Lee, Lenoir, and Cirilli, where, after 16 years of employment, she retired in May 1990. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had been a member of the Alter Society, the Legion of Mary, and St. Martha’s Sewing Circle. Nora was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and was active in local politics by volunteering in campaign activities. In addition she was a member of the Cedars of Lebanon Club which was co-founded by her father and other Lebanese immigrants who settled in the Delta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Elmaz Tonos, by a brother and sister-in-law, Ford and Berenice Tonos, a brother, John Tonos and sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Fred Abide. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn McKoin (Kelsey) of Bonita, LA; 2 brothers, George Tonos (Joyce) and Joe Tonos (Mary Belle) and sister-in-law, Billie Tonos; 3 granddaughters, Christina McKoin, Meredith McKoin, both of Bonita, LA and Laura Barham (Brian) of Anguilla. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters Donations, 6520 North Andrews Avenue, Ft.
