Funeral services for Joyce Waldon Pritchett, 76, of Jackson and formerly of Hollandale will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Boone Chapel, Hollandale. She passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at her home in Jackson. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Born May 5th, 1943 in Hollandale, MS, Joyce married Robert Alfred Pritchett on June 4, 1966. She worked as a bookkeeper in their business, Pritchett Auto Parts in Leland.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Alfred Pritchett, sister Margaret (Ronald) Lafon and her parents Rev. T.L. Waldon and Daisy Lee Waldon.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle (Sean) Kells of Nashville; and Monica (David) Capton of Brandon, grandchildren Lauren and Ryan Kells of Nashville and Audrey Capton of Brandon, two sisters, Eileen (Bob) Kelley of Greenville and Bonnie (Jerry) Horton of Hollandale as well as three nieces and two nephews.
Joyce will be greatly missed and remembered for her unique sense of humor and immense care for others. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and lived out her faith daily.
There will be a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Thursday at Boone Chapel, Hollandale.
