Funeral services for Carmel Francis Signa, 83, of Greenville, MS and formerly of Connecticut, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died Saturday, May 29th, at Legacy Manor. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
Carmel was born on August 3, 1937, in Greenville to Dominick Emile Signa, Sr. and Mamie Brocato Signa. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School and attended Delta State University. Carmel graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Music, but furthered his education at the University of Louisiana, Monroe, receiving a Masters of Music. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his siblings: Martha Louise Signa, Charles William Signa, Sr. and Dominick Emile Signa, Jr.
The family would like to thank Dr. Neal Suares and Dr. Parvez Karim for their kindness and compassion to Carmel. They would also like to thank the staff at Legacy Manor and Grace Hospice for their excellent care.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, St. Joseph Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
