Funeral services for Robert Talmage Ellis, 59, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Robert passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022. Born and raised in Greenville, Mississippi, he was the son of Bilbo Ellis Sr. and Hazel Ellis. Robert excelled in academics at Deer Creek Academy and later attended Greenville High School where he graduated.
During his tenure as a truck driver, Robert met the love of his life, Beth. It was love at first sight and he told her,” I love you because I know no matter what happens you’ll always love me back”. He was a gentleman from beginning until the end.
Robert was employed at WABG Delta News, as an Audio Technician until his death. He was a truck driver for Jim Newsome Trucking for 20 years and Bunge Towing for over 25 years which last 5 as an Assistant Crew Chief.
His favorite pastime was playing the guitar, fishing and hunting. His entertainment specialty was being “The Voice of Reason” talk show host on Earth Talk 777. As a great political debater for the Republican Party, Robert spoke on many controversial issues and never stepped down from a challenge.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Bilbo Ellis Sr., his mother Hazel Ellis and brother Bilbo Ellis Jr.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Beth Ellis, step mother Rose Ellis, daughter Becky (Stephen) Armand of Youngsville, LA; sons Chucky (Brittany) Hernandez of Greenville, MS, John Hernandez of Duson, LA, and Austin (Rachel) Vance of Paragould, AR; grandchildren Grace, Gabriel, Daniel, Alexis and Alanna all of Youngsville, LA, Grant and Grayson of Greenville, MS, Karson of Paragould, AR; siblings Alice (Robert) Morgan of Duson, LA, Barbara Johnson of St. Louis, MO, Jerome (Helen) Ellis of St. Louis, MO, Darnell (Elizabeth) Seals of Greenville, MS; uncle Joe (Barbara) Simmons of Greenville, MS; nieces Dakota and Cheyenne Hamilton, Sissy Sutherland, Vanessa Seals of Greenville, MS; nephew Torry Hymes of Greenville, MS and Jamel Seals of Memphis, TN and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
