Funeral services for Mary Stigall Oltremari, 79, of Cleveland, MS, formerly of Rolling Fork, MS, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville, MS. There will be a visitation at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. She passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Indywood Estates in Cleveland, MS. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home. Bro. Nick Smith will officiate.
Mary was a native of Delta City, MS, and graduated from Anguilla High School and Mississippi Delta Junior College. Most of her career was spent working at USDA in Stoneville, MS. She was of the Baptist faith.
She married Henry Oltremari in 1984, and they lived in Greenville, MS. Branson was one of Mary and Henry’s favorite places to visit. They eventually moved to Branson and lived there until Henry’s passing. Soon after, Mary moved back to the Delta to be near her siblings and their families. Mary loved being outside and enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities, especially gardening, yard work, and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with her very large family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Oltremari, her parents, Russell and Carrie Stigall, sister-in-laws, Bobbye Stigall and Brenda Stigall, great nephew, Kel Huff and brother-in-law, Chief Oltremari.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert Stigall, Bud Stigall (Sharron), and Tom Stigall, and sisters, Jean Sandifer (Joel), Kathy Sanderford (Vernon), Patsy Murphy (Rod), Sharon Heigle (Dale), and Connie Chick (Scott), numerous nieces and nephews, step-son, Ken Oltremari and sister-in-law, Diane Towles (Hal).
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Tripp Sandifer, Rob Stigall, Russ Stigall, Thomas Stigall, Wes Wood, and Will Wood.
The family would like to thank the staff at Indywood Estates in Cleveland for their care and support. A very special thanks to Heart of Hospice of Cleveland for their attention to Mary’s needs over the past year.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Delta City Baptist Church, P.O. Box 119, Delta City, MS 39061 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
