There will be a visitation at 1:00 p.m. until service time. He passed away on November 19, 2024, at Dallas Methodist Hospital with his mother, father, and Aunt Jane by his side. He attended Greenville Christian School and Washington School before transferring to Sharkey Issaquena Academy in Rolling Fork, MS, graduating in 1985. He attended Southern Mississippi University in Hattiesburg and Mississippi State University in Starkville.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 17, 1991, the day Operation Desert Storm began. After serving two years in Germany, he returned to Ft. Hood in Waco, TX, and made his home in Austin, TX. He was discharged in 1995. Shortly after, he relocated to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, where he was employed by Gerald McDonald, owner of Pac Systems, where he learned commercial alarm systems. At the time of his death, he was employed at Cintas.
Bill wrote in his Bible at age 10 that he had received Christ into his heart.
Bill loved gardening, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. He especially loved talking to his buddy, “Doc Bennett” daily. He loved Cindy’s children, Jamie and Ashlee and three “grands”, Olivia, Izzy, and Stella.
He searched for many months before finding Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, TX, to be his church home. Pastor Ben baptized him there. Being with God’s people at Travis Avenue was the highlight of his week.
Bill leaves his mother, Mary, and Father, Bill, Sr. of Glen Allan, MS, fiancé, Cindy Heiland and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Boyd Frazier, and grandmother, Eunice; and his paternal grandfather, C.D. (Boots) Cooper, and grandmother, Kate Johnson Cooper.
