Sheila Lashley

Memorial services for Sheila Lashley, 72, of Cleveland and formerly of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Great Faith Tabernacle in Greenville. She died on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.

She loved her family with all she had. She expressed deep concern prior to her passing, stating that she was not ready to go yet because she didn’t know who was going to pray for her children. Her love for God and family was undeniable and her family took great comfort knowing that her prayers for them all were unceasing. She stated that her family was the “light of her life” and her family felt the same about her. She was a rock in the toughest of times. No matter what the problem or concern was she was always available to either talk to or to lend a shoulder to cry on. Everyone who knew her knew their problems and concerns would be presented in earnest prayer that very hour. She was truly loved and will be missed but we celebrate her life as well as her passing because we know her reward is in heaven, and she will continue to petition the Lord on our behalf.

She is preceded in death by her father Walter McMillon, mother Mabel McMillon, sister Mavis Hayes, brother Daulton McMillon, sister Jean Gary, and brother Bobby McMillon.

She is survived by her husband Carl Dennis Lashley, son Travis Spurlock and his wife Kristy, daughter Audrea Spurlock Dilday and her husband Ricky, son Kameron Ingram, stepchildren, Dennise Wortham, Carl Lashley Jr., and Monica Lashley. She has five grandchildren, Brian Spurlock, Cody Spurlock, Haley Spurlock, Kristian Berkley, and Lakin Manus, and finally three great-grandchildren Kamden Carlisle, Rowen Carlisle, and Sawyer Spurlock.
