Funeral services for Dr. Oneita W. Keith, 91, of Clinton and formerly of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Friday, November 22, 2013 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Dr. Keith lived in Clinton for the last 6 years and before moving to Clinton she lived in Greenville for 50 years. She was a school teacher and an elementary prinicpal with the Greenville Public Schools. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, was active in the Alice Bell Garden Club and Delta Kappa Gamma where she was State President.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Keith, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil M. Wells and sisters, Ernestine Rainey, Jim Ella Aden and Bessie May Wells. She is survived by a sister, Lita Carter of Rolling Fork and a brother, Virgil Wells of Clinton.
Pallbearers will be Clark Carter, Hollis Carter, Richard Carter, Carter Abney, Benny Tate, John Abney, Grady Keith and Paul Keith.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral services at the funeral home.
