Graveside services for Mrs. Marlene Eva Giallella Schilling, age 90, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Greenville Cemetery. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, on the night of Saturday, June 14th, 2025, in Greenville, MS. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born on August 5, 1934, in Stowe, Vermont, the daughter of Michael and Rheta Giallella. Marlene graduated from Brattleboro High School, Class of 1953, in Brattleboro, Vermont. In June of 1956, she moved to Greenville, MS with her husband, Felix Arthur Schilling, Sr. They were married for 69 years.
Marlene was a very kind and generous woman and became an excellent mother and homemaker. Marlene enjoyed gardening, traveling the country with her husband, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Schilling, her granddaughters, Hayley Elizabeth Mikel, and Lauren Lindsey Darnell.
She is survived by her husband Felix Arthur Schilling, Sr.; son, Felix Arthur Schilling, Jr.; two daughters, Brenda Mae Kellams (Kelly) and Linda Schilling Mikel; five grandchildren, Justin Bradley Darnell (Farren), John David Darnell, Hunter Reed Darnell (Maria), Dallas Joe Kellams, and William Ryan Mikel; and three great-grandchildren, Daphne Lauren Darnell, Presley Ann Darnell and Arabella Grace Ferrill.
The family would like to give special thanks and gratitude to her caregiver, Jeannie; Hospice, Delta Health System-The Medical Center, and their loving neighbors, Prentiss and Desiree Thompson.
