She was born in New Orleans, LA. on June 26, 1922, to Chasteen Killian Moore and Teresa Armbruster Moore and attended McMain High School and Louisiana State University. She met the love of her life George William Bert of Lake Oswego, Oregon while he was in the Navy in New Orleans . While in Oregon, June was owner of June’s Fabric Shop and became very well known for her sewing and tailoring skills and often created pageant gowns for the Miss Oregon contestants. While in Oregon and in Indianola, she enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and hand sewing items for friends. June was an active member of her church, an avid golfer, a member of the Garden Club and several bridge clubs, and the DAR.
She is survived by 2 nieces, Joy Tindall Aden (Bill) of Jackson; Helen Tindall Thurber (Cooper) of Mobile, AL and four nephews, Frank L. Tindall, Jr. (Marsha) of Indianola, John Lewis Moore, Jr., Brian Dennis Moore (Kimberly) of Mandeville, LA and Craig Killian Moore (Denise) of Slidell, LA.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her loving caregivers, Gloria Smith and Gelda Chandler, and the staff of Indywood of Indianola and to Weldon Aultman, her special trusted advisor and friend.
