Graveside services for Rose Octavia Cefalu, 60, of Leland will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. She died Thursday, November 6, 2014. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Rose, the oldest of Victor and Carlene Cefalu’s five children graduated from Leland High School in 1972 and from Ole Miss in 1976 with a BS in Education. She taught High School English in Forrest City, Arkansas until her retirement in 2003 . She was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church of Forrest City, AR. She lived her remaining years in Forrest City among her friends and church family.
She is survived by her parents, V.J. and Carlene Cefalu; brother, Cade Cefalu (Carole) of Rowlett, TX; 3 sisters, Casheu Frey (Billy) of Yazoo, MS; Corese Davis (Kendall) of Oxford, MS; and Chana McMillen (David) of Dover, MA; eleven nieces and nephews and one grand-niece.
