Memorial Services for Belinda Dale Maples, 62, of Greenville will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She died at her home on Sunday, December 13 surrounded by friends, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Mobile, AL to the late Virginia and Alfonse Maples on January 13, 1953. Belinda was a gifted interior designer with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. She began as Admissions Director of Bauder Fashion College in Atlanta, GA. With a firm base in sales and customer satisfaction, she opened MM&M Antiques. Her drive to provide superior creative interior design services resulted in starting Kitchen Tune-Ups, which then led to BB Interiors. Her work creating interior environments for residential and institutional clients included renovating the dining room at the Visitation Monastery in Mobile, AL.
Belinda’s heart, upbeat personality, and strong faith touched so many. Her interest in being there for others extended into creating a cancer support group through the church she loved.
She is survived by devoted friend, Martha Signa and the Signa family; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Janis Maples; her niece and husband, Tracy and Joe Baggett, and their children, Jeb and Barron; her nephew, Brad Maples; beloved aunts, cousins and best friends, Pamela Joy Trow and Dede Castronova and her beloved pets Lulu and Molly.
Special thanks to Maroun Hayek, M.D., and his staff and hospice personnel Rebecca and Vickie.
There will be a visitation from 11:00-11:30 a.m., Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 412 Main Street, Greenville, MS 38702 or DRMC Home Care Health and Hospice Services, 300 S. Washington Avenue, Greenville, MS 38701.
