Funeral services for Mildred Marie Willhite Cook, 85, of Greenville will be today at 3:00 p.m., at Glendale Baptist Church. She died Friday, February 26 at her home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Cook was born on September 1, 1930 in Avalon, MS to Hubert Edward Willhite and Nellie Bea Williamson Willhite. She graduated from Schlater High School. After graduating she moved to Greenville. She married Henry L. Cook on April 11, 1951, his birthday and they were married for 42 years before his death in 1993.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Sharon Hogan (Bob) of Burlington, KS, Judith Petty (Gary) of Greenville, MS and Billie Hegarty (Tim) of Oxford, PA and a son, Henry Cook II (Michelle) of Benton, AR; 6 grandchildren, Christine Watson of Canton, MS, Charity Taylor (Kenny) of Lake Village, AR, James Hogan of Burlington, KS, Tory Hunter (Brooke) of Greenville, MS, Brian Hunter of Oxford, PA and Mary Glynnis Hunter of Oxford, PA; and 6 great grandchildren, Joshua Taylor, Johnathan Taylor, Hanna Watson, Emma Grace Watson, Jacob Doyle Hunter and Lilia Skye Orozco.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
