Funeral services for Alfred Hernandez, Jr., 74, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Thursday, August 29, 2019. Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens.
Mr. Hernandez was a loving and caring man that would give anyone anything he had. He was a simple man and didn’t need a lot of material things. He worked up until his death.
Mr. Hernandez loved to be outside gardening, working on vehicles, helping his son’s with everything and loved to fish with his son and granddaughter. He loved his children and grandchildren, they were his world. He loved to dance, he and his wife won several dance contest. Mr. Hernandez stood beside his wife for years through her multiple illnesses until her death in 2010.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Hernandez of Stanton, KY and Danny Hernandez of Greenville; daughter, Vern H. Jenkins of Brandon; three sisters, Martha Ford of Hamburg, AR, Bobby Spurlock of Hamburg, AR and Jamie Rowe of Memphis, TN; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
