Funeral services for Allen Byron Newton, 75, of Bastrop, LA will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home in Leland. He died in Bastrop, LA on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery.
Mr. Newton is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Virginia Newton, whom he was happily married to. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Newton, and a sister, Donna Susan Newton.
He is survived by three daughters, Jenny Pepper of Ridgeland, MS, Ann Parker of West Monroe, LA, and Donna Wroten of Clinton, MS; son, Bobby Pepper of Richland, MS; brother, Scott Newton of Raymond, MS; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation at the funeral home will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
