Funeral services for Allen Gayle Jones, 77, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado, Greenville, MS. He died Tuesday at Allegiance Specialty Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Jones was born in Clarksdale, MS the son of Seibrandt L. Jones and Lucille Presley Jones. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Hancock and after his discharge he married Judy Weidemann making their home in Greenville. Mr. Jones was employed with Marine Gears and retired after 25 years of service. He was a member of VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Pam Jones and by 3 brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Jones; 2 daughters, Jennifer Fuller (James) of Mt. Olive, MS and Karen Hodges (Dave) of Brandon; brother, Don Jones (Carolyn) of Forney, TX; 5 grandchildren, Heather, Jacob, Christina, Olivia and Haley and a great grandson, Bentley.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
