Funeral services for Alma Elliott Dickerson, 69, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Hollandale Methodist Church. She died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital, Rolling Fork. Burial will be in Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mrs. Dickerson was born in Greenville and moved to Tallulah, MS at an early age where she attended Cary schools and Rolling Fork schools. In 1961 she married Bobby Dickerson and they made their home in Hollandale. She worked with Sunflower Food and later with the Hollandale Clinic as a clerical secretary. She was a member of Hollandale Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2010. She is survived by a son, Johnny Dickerson (Joann) of Rockwall, TX; a granddaughter, Julie E. Dickerson of Rockwall, TX; a sister, Margaret Guyton of Hollandale and 2 brothers, James David Elliott of Monroe, LA and Gene Elliott of Heber Springs, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Boone Chapel, Hollandale.
