Funeral services for Alma Louise Watford, 77, of Vicksburg will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 4 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Thursday, November 30 at her home. Burial will be in Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Watford was born in Durant, MS moving to the Hollandale area at an early age. She graduated from Riverside High School and then attended Draughon’s Business College in Jackson. In 1958 she married Robert William Watford and they made their home in Hollandale where she was employed with Twin County Electric for 34 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Watford, parents, J. T. Woods and Bessie Scallions Woods; three brothers, Curtis Woods, Cecil Woods and Lee Woods, Jr. and by two sisters, Mary Edwards and Earline Powell.
She is survived by her son, William Rob Watford (Renea) of Vicksburg; daughter, Lisa Watford Christ of Vicksburg; sister, Peggy Woods Clark (Ronnie) of Ruleville; sister-in-law, Juanita Woods of Taylorsville, MS; six grandchildren, Gracie, Hunter, Skylar, Jason, Joey and Robert; and six great grandchildren, Brandon, Casey, Addison, Hannah, Taylor and Jadie.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
