Graveside services for Arthur Mitchell Pogue, Sr., 83, of Cleveland and formerly of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the Greenville Cemetery, 1001 S. Main Street, Greenville, MS. He died Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Providence Assisted Living in Cleveland. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Pogue was a lifelong resident of Greenville. He graduated from Greenville High School where he was a star football player. He worked for Raymond International for 42 years before retiring.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Katie Louise Wise Pogue and by his brother Richard Pogue and two sisters Martha Weller and Selma Pedigo. He is survived by his children, Kimberly Marshall of New Orleans, LA, Amy (Rabun) Jones of Jenson Beach, FL, Arthur Pogue, Jr. of Jackson, MS, Jamie (Greg) Quillen of Macon, GA, and Justin (Shelagh) Pogue of Elijah, GA; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
There will be a visitation at Boone Funeral Home, 905 Main Street, Greenville, MS from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the graveside services.
