Memorial services for Barbera Lenz Nicholson, 86, of Greenville will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 27 at St. James Episcopal Church. She died Wednesday, May 23 at Washington Care Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in McComb, MS, the daughter of Edward Lenz and Lucille Barber Lenz.
Barbera worked in retail sales. She enjoyed reading and gardening and was known for her thoughtfulness and “gift of gab”. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
She was the wife of William T. “Bill” Nicholson, sharing 66 years of marriage together. Along with her husband Bill, she is survived by her children, Meta Anthony (Roger) of Indianola, William Nicholson, Jr. (Tina) of Inverness, Pink Steed (Chris) of Inverness and Lucie Edwards of Greenville; grandchildren, Allen Reed Anthony of Inverness, Nick Edwards of Greenville and Lindsay and Presley Steed of Inverness; and a sister, Eddie Jo Morgan of Brandon.
There will be a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m., at the church. A reception will follow after the services. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 1026 S. Washington Avenue, Greenville, MS 38701.
