Graveside services for Bertha Lee House Mosley, 95, a longtime resident of Hollandale will be Monday, October 11, 2021, at 1pm in Hollandale Cemetery. She passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Washington Care in Greenville. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mrs. Mosley was born on October 19, 1925, to Frank Allen House and Minnie Lee Mayfield House in Hampton, MS and moved to Hollandale with her parents at an early age. She attended Hollandale Public Schools and became a homemaker. When her children were grown, she soon became caretaker to many of Hollandale’s young children. Mrs. Mosley was an active member of Hollandale Baptist Church, serving in the choir, hostess committee, as well as the children’s nursery.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Willard “Duck” Mosley, Sr and son John Wayne Mosley.
Mrs. Mosley is survived by son Jimmy Mosley and wife Sandra of Hollandale, daughter-n-law Rosie Mosley (John) of Hollandale, and daughters Debra Mosley Brown (Tommy, deceased) of Southaven, MS and Teresa Mosley Powell and husband Michael of Hernando, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 12noon-1pm on Monday at Hollandale Baptist Church.
