Funeral services for Betty Joyce Neely, 84, of Madison will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 31 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died Thursday, March 28 at The Nichols Center in Madison. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
She was born July 16, 1934 Delta City, MS the daughter of Wilson Enloe Neely and Inez Elizabeth Boykin Neely and was born with cerebral palsy. She spent her life encouraging others. She lived in Hollandale before going into a care facility. Betty enjoyed singing, decoupageing and painting pictures to share with friends. She lived her life as being blessed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a younger brother, Robert Neely. She is survived by four sisters, Laura Murphy of Greenville; Ann Neely Myers of Friars Point; Mary McGraw (Robert) of Jasper, GA and Libby McDaniel (Ed) of Madison and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday. Memorials may be made to The Home Place or to Nichols Center, both are in Madison.
