Funeral services for Betty Zane Pryor Orsi, 83, of Greenville will be at noon, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Boone Chapel, Hollandale. She died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born January 13, 1930 in Coffeeville, MS to Myrtle Doris and Radford Pryor. She received her BS degree in 1950 from Delta State College. On December 25, 1952 she married Frank Orsi. After college she taught elementary school, was supervisor with the Department of Public Welfare and in 1990 she retired from the Division of Medicaid as Regional Office Supervior. She was an avid reader and loved watching football on TV, especially the Manning boys. Her most enjoyable moments were spent with her grandchildren and she especially loved cheering them on from the sidelines of a soccer field.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her 2 daughters Beth Chisolm (Rodger) of Greenville and Becky Orsi-Faircloth of Savannah, GA; 3 grandchildren, Hallie Chisolm of Jackson, Reed Chisolm of Norfolk, VA and Tripp Faircloth of Savannah, GA; step granddaughter, Amelia Chisolm Goodenough (Jason) and step great-granddaughter, Eloise Goodenough all of New Orleans, LA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Friday at Boone Chapel, Hollandale.
