Funeral services for Beverly Virginia Newton, 70, of Richland will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She passed away Sunday, September 9 at her home in Richland. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mrs. Newton was born in Newport, AR in August 1948 to Carol and Alta Rudd Willbanks moving to Indianola, MS at an early age where she graduated from Indianola High School. In 1973 she married Allen Newton and they made their home in Jackson where they raised their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Wanda Brooks and two brothers, Troy and Cletus Willbanks. She is survived by her husband Allen Newton of Richland; three daughters, Jenny Yoakum of Ridgeland, Ann N. Parker of West Monroe, LA and Donna Newton of Clinton; son, Bobby Pepper of Richland; two sisters, Joy Rowland of Bolton and Eleta Grimmett of New Albany and eight grandchildren.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
