Funeral services for Billie Katherine Harris, age 95, of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home in Greenville. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. She passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at home. Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Harris was born in Avon, MS, and attended Riverside School. She later moved to Greenville where she married and became a homemaker. Due to her husband’s occupation as a civil engineer, she lived all over the United States and traveled and lived in many countries. Mrs. Harris was a member of Riverport Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Bernard Harris; father, Travis Hutchison; mother, Carrie Chambers; stepfather, Chester Chambers; brother, David Chambers; sisters, June Spivey and Shirley Davis.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Woodcock (Stan) of Greenville; son, Skip Harris (Donna) of El Reno, OK; grandson, Gary Mincoff (Tammy) of Chippewa Falls, WI; great-granddaughter, Michelle Krell (John) of Ladysmith, WI; and four great-great-grandchildren, Vivian, Tucker, Hallie and Milena Krell all of Ladysmith, WI.
