Funeral services for Billie Sue Burt Mathews, 73, of Greenville will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She died Thursday, February 14 at her home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Mathews was born on November 22, 1945 in Tupelo, MS the daughter of William Harold and Vera Harris Burt. She attended Bob Jones University and was a retired operator from Bellsouth Telephone Company.
She was preceded in death her parents, her husband, James Aron Mathews and by a grandson, Joshua Mathews. She is survived by son, James Aron Mathews II (Heather); daughter, Heather Mathews (Zack); two sisters, Mary Anna Dixon (Richard) and Sarah Walton (Lee); four grandchildren, Aron, Cody and Aubrey Mathews and Andrew Mathews and by a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church
