Bobbie Jean Manns

Funeral services for Bobbie Jean Manns, 73, of Byhalia will be at 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, April 25 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home. She died Saturday, April 22 at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. Burial will be in Belzoni City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. 

Mrs. Manns was born July 27, 1943 at Bruce, MS to William “Bill” and Nora Butler. She had been a resident of Greenville for 40 years where she retired as a nail tech and resided in DeSoto county her last 6 years. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Manns, Sr., her parents, William “Bill” and Nora Butler, brother, G.W. Butler, 2 sisters, Lula Bell Gulledge and Clara Bell Terry, granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Manns and great granddaughter, Kayla Marie Goss. 

She is survived by 4 daughters, Jamie (Danny) Suber of Greenville, Carrie (Matthew) Hood of Byhalia, Teresa (Frank, Sr.) Navarro of Glen Allan and MeLisa (Edward) Creel of Byhalia; son, James (Jennifer) Manns, Jr. of Byhalia; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy McLendon will officiate.
